Legalising Poker in America
Finally are we going to see some common sense from the other side of the pond? Barney Frank (U.S. House Financial Services Committee Chairman) has introduced into the United States Congress, new legislation that would not only reverse the UIGEA (Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006), but would also establish a legal regulatory network to allow online gambling in America. Of course this will aloow Americans back onto the online poker scene, which in my very honest opinion is great news for everyone, the players, as well as the poker industry that have lost literally billions of euros and as another positive it is also said that the UIGEA will be frozen which have adversly affected some of the poker giants in the industry. All is not blue skies though as there is still a lot of anti-gambling lobbyists, so its a case of lets see what happens.
